The 17th-20th Century Correspondence and Documents consists of letters, documents, and various forms of correspondence relating to notable names and celebrities from between 1618 and 1981. These documents have either been transcribed to or from the personalities in question or have been written in discussion of these individuals. Some documents have been previously digitized as a part of the Edward Lear Papers.

This newspaper begins with an opinionated column reacting to John Dunton and his Athenian Society which published the Athenian Mercury. Following this is a poem and a letter discussing current military status, possibly in reference to the War of Spanish Succession (1701-1714). The publisher finishes the newspaper with a note about the current printing price for subscribers and a list of advertisements.

Two letter fragments perhaps originally from the same letter, mounted together on a larger paper. First fragment is an address to Miss Harriet Moore. The second is a short letter from Samuel Rogers stating that he could not possibly refuse "such a proposal as that," and tells Miss Moore to come any day and any hour.
