Letter from Mia Hasterlik and Paul Hasterlik to Giulia Kortischoner, 1939-09-24
Mia Hasterlik informs Giulia Kortischoner that she has traveled to England at the invitation of a friend who lives in the countryside. She explains the dilemma that she has as this friend in the countryside has invited her to live there and do the cooking and cleaning of the house in exchange for room and board, some small pay, and the opportunity to learn English. Yet, she prefers life in London as she finds life in the country extremely boring and is thus hesitant to accept this offer. A letter from Paul Hasterlik is also included in which he gives an update on Gusti Hasterlik's status, saying that she is teaching music and French at a school in Minnesota in exchange for pay and free room and board.
