Two letters and a newspaper clipping enclosed. The earlier letter (April 3, 1964) from realtor Joe L. Cobb to U.S. Senator Spessard L. Holland expresses support for the senator's opposition to the Civil Rights Bill. Cobb discusses two stories concerning Holland featured in the St. Petersburg Times (April 2, 1964) and includes a clipping of the paper. One newspaper story concerns protestors at a rally for Holland in Miami, the other relays critiques of Holland from J. Brailey Odham. Holland's reply (April 13, 1964) thanks Cobb for his letter and notes his response to his "opponent" in a later issue of the St. Petersburg Times (April 9, 1964), no clipping included.
