"Say it in 6: ""You're more capable than you think"" Dorianis Perez is pursuing a PhD in Computational Science at Florida State. When finished, she will be the first in her family to obtain a graduate degree. She chose FSU because of the Fire Dynamics Program, and she studies fire dynamics in wildland fires in hopes of understanding the different variables that describe fire behavior to continue working on predictive methods. Dorianis has held a graduate research assistantship with Los Alamos National Laboratory and aspires to have a career in academia as an instructor and researcher "
