Christy Chatmon
Say it in 6: "Don't be trapped by Dogma." Christy Chatmon is pursuing her doctoral degree (PhD) in Information at the Florida State University College of communication and Information. Christy's more than twenty-one years of experience as an IT instructor in higher education has cemented her passion and motivation to add to the body of knowledge pertaining to the expansion of diversity, specifically Black women, in computing fields. A dedicated teacher, Christy fosters student achievement through stimulating student-centered environments using interactive instructional activities. In the future, Christy hopes to continue to inspire students, especially Black women of all ages, to pursue majors and careers in STEM.
