Shalom Chege - Shalom Chege Profile

Say it in 6: "To better myself and others." Shalom Chege is a Family Medical Scholars Member pursuing an M.D. degree in the Florida State University (FSU) College of Medicine. Her current project is facilitated through Choosing Wisely, an initiative whose mission is to promote student-led initiatives to advance healthcare values in medical education, creating better patient-physician communication for more effective results. Working with hospitals and clinics throughout Florida, Shalom is able to educate physicians on Choosing Wisely's principles and provide them with materials for their patients; she and her fellow delegates have even implemented curriculum changes at FSU in an effort to further their initiative's reach. Shalom plans to attend a Family Medicine residency program and practice as a physician within said program, staying involved in academic medicine all the while.
