Rebecca Turk

"Say it in 6: ""Persistence opens doors to endless opportunities."" Rebecca is pursuing her PhD in Foreign and Second Language Education here at Florida State University after completing her Bachelor's and Master's degrees here. She decided to pursue a graduate degree to one day become an expert in her field, and she hopes to continue researching in her field, develop and influence pedagogy, and continue instructing students at the college level. She aspires to make scientific contributions to her field and see real changes made toward how students learn in a classroom. She believes it is important to set small goals as one goes through graduate school, and to build a support system. In 2013 and 2018, Rebecca was a Three Minute Thesis Finalist and she received the Golden Key Academic Award. "
