Kirsten D'Souza
"Say it in 6: ""Applying learned skills to reach success."" Kirsten D'Souza, a student at Florida State University's College of Social Sciences & Public Policy, is pursuing her master's degree (MA) in Applied American Politics and Policy (MAAPP). Her yearn to be more knowledgeable and well-rounded in regards to politics and policy motivated her to pursue graduate school. And, although the MAAPP program is not research- based, she is currently learning about the political and policy work that happens daily at the local, state, and federal level. Kirsten has had the opportunity of working in the Office of the Mayor in Tallahassee, FL through the Tallahassee Mayoral Fellowship Program, and is now interning at the Florida House Education Committee through the Florida House of Representatives Internship Program. She hopes to be the chief of staff for a United States senator or representative, and eventually for a president. "
