Mary Duffy

"Say it in 6: "Research: Learning, growing, and helping others." Mary is a PhD student in the Clinical Psychology program at Florida State. She entered this program due to its twin emphasis in science and clinical work, and in order to study under Dr. Thomas Joiner, a leading expert in suicidology. Mary's own research focuses on eating disorders and suicide, particularly the body attitudes and experiences involved in these areas of psychopathology. She received a prestigious NSF Graduate Research Fellowship to fund her doctoral program. She hopes eventually to pursue a career in clinical psychology where she can work both in scientific research and in clinical capacities. "
