Miltonette Craig
"Say it in 6: "Show others that they can too." Miltonette decided to pursue a second graduate education because she discovered her passion for teaching and mentoring a bit later in her career. Initially, she thought that 'beating the odds' and moving beyond the disadvantages of her home neighborhood would be sufficiently fulfilling. However, she soon realized that personal success was not enough: helping others reach their goals was also necessary, since Miltonette would never have reached her own without support. She therefore seeks her own goals to show others that they can too, and has been supported in her endeavor by a McKnight Doctoral Fellowship. The McKnight Fellowship helps Miltonette as she seeks to help others and defines her own success, in part, in encouraging others to achieve theirs. "
