FSU-Firenze 1966-67 Memories
-
Summary: 1966-67 was the first year FSU offered a study-abroad program such as the Florence program. The students also happened to be in Florence during the historic flood (November 4, 1966), which gave them the opportunity to develop a special bond with the people of Florence by helping them recover their art, books and other valuable artifacts after the flood. Lastly, the group was part of a historic shift in which study-abroad programs were being offered by state universities rather than only private institutions.
