Letter from Mia Hasterlik to Giulia Kortischoner and Susi Weiss, 1940-04-04
Mia Hasterlik writes to Susi Weiss and Giulia Kortischoner, describing the poor conditions of the boarding house she is living in. She states that she has someone with a constant address forward her mail to her, but many people in London worry about their mail because they are constantly moving and changing addresses. She is still waiting on a friendship letter (Freundschaftsbrief) from her affadavit sponsor in order to be able to get her visa and is still waiting to hear from the Swiss organization "Kinderhilfe" to see about what will be done with Giulia. She fantasizes about the possibility of all three of them living together in the US again, and states, in reference to Austira, "At first, the most important thing was to get out of that hell."
