Letter from Mia Hasterlik and Auguste Hasterlik to Giulia Kortischoner and Susi Weiss, 1941-08-01
Mia Hasterlik writes to Giulia Kortischoner and Susi Weiss, stating that Paul Hasterlik was unable to come to the United States but was actually quite happy about it, as he seemed to be happy to spend his days with his old friends in Vienna. She also states that Giulia should soon be able to come to the United States, as new affidavits have been filed for her. She also gives news that a family friend died while en route to the US and was buried in the Canary Islands. She also states that in the US, things are different as everything is constantly about money. She also gives news of another family friend who died after having spent two years in a concentration camp in France.
