Brittany Allman
Say It In 6: "First generation student in the classroom." Dr. Brittany Allman completed a PhD in Exercise Physiology Spring 2018. Brittany is a recipient of the National Strength and Conditioning Association's Women's Foundation Grant as well as a supplementary industry grant from FreislandCampina. Brittany promised her Dad that I would be the 1st in my family with a bachelor's degree... that turned into a 1st generation Masters and now a 1st generation PhD." and I’ve enjoyed the whole process. Brittany's research explored exercise, nutrition, and fat metabolism and lucky for her, fat metabolism never goes out of style! She focused on dispelling common myths and practices of gym-goers - commonly called "bro-science."
