Description (Abstract)

Daniel describes how he moved from Kansas City to Jacksonville, FL, to work for JASMYN in 1999, a social services organization that provides aid and support to LGBTQ+ youth. He also discusses the evolution of Jacksonville's LGBTQ+ community around the time that he first moved to the city. Most of the interview focuses on the role of JASMYN in the Jacksonville community, and the social and political accomplishments of the organization.
