Interview with Rick and Judy Fritz, July 21, 2021
Interview was conducted by student Caroline Evatt. Mr. and Mrs. Fritz speak about how they each began their studies at FSU and individually met with Dean Oglesby and Dr Tansy to join the Florence study abroad program in 1966. They detail the intensive Italian studies that all students had to take in the first month in Florence, and Mrs Fritz explains her minor in Italian. They detail their arrival in Italy for study abroad, how students dressed and how they planned travel around Europe. After the Flood of November 1966, they assisted as Mud Angels at the Biblioteca Nazionale removing books, and Mrs. Fritz's roommates caught Pneumonia from the work and had to return to the United States.
