Bertha Crombet
Say it in 6: "Learning is more exciting than settling." Bertha Crombet is pursuing a doctoral degree (PhD) in creative writing at Florida State University's College of Arts and Sciences. Bertha's work is poetry, so her research involves mostly self-inventory, a practice she believes is important because poetry is an attempt to communicate something we find in ourselves in order to connect to others. At the age of six, Bertha began writing her first journal to practice her English, which ignited her lifelong love of words. Since teaching at a university is her goal, she decided to pursue her PhD in creative writing to be more competitive in academia.
