Camille Adams
Say it in 6: "Make an impact in your community." Camille Lewis is a doctoral degree (PhD) student in the Educational Psychology program at Florida State University's College of Education. Her experience as a teacher showed her the many systematic inequalities that plague the public school system. Her motivation to pursue a doctoral degree stems from her desire to make systemic and policy changes that positively impact the education of youth. Camille's research focuses on the impact of cultural worldview on school curriculum and assessments. Camille wants her career to embody the Ubuntu philosophy "I am because we are" and to inspire and support the next generation of social justice researchers.
