James Brown
"Say it in 6: "I hope to pay it forward." James wants to know, what is behavior? This question drives his research and has been his rationale for why he studies the brain as it relates to social behavior. James is pursuing a PhD in neuroscience at Florida State as a McKnight Doctoral Fellow, where his research concentrates on the neurobiological substrates that are human behavior. James's research aims to benefit society by helping uncover the neural underpinnings of both normal and abnormal behaviors. James looks forward to growing as a scientist, helping educate scholars at various levels of development, and mentoring underrepresented scholars, who are often motivated, creative, and resilient but are not always afforded opportunities to showcase their abilities.
