Mike Alfano
"Say it in 6: Missing from Summary Mike was one of three inaugural Tallahassee Mayoral Fellowship recipients in 2015, when he was pursuing his Master's degree in Urban Planning and Public Administration at Florida State. Mike worked on a number of projects during Andrew Gillum's mayoral tenure, from brining TEDx back to Tallahassee to coordinating the Neighbors on the Block Program (part of Operation Safe Neighborhoods) to forming Tallahassee's first Google Business Town Hall. Mike has also undertaken extensive research on local issues and has contributed to Tallahassee's city legislation; his work has touched on the state of early learning conditions and juvenile characteristics. Mike recommends the Mayoral Fellowship to other graduate students at Florida State and Florida A&M who are flexible, quick thinking, and passionate about making Tallahassee a better place. "
