Reginald Harris
Say it in 6: "Make a meaningful contribution in entrepreneurship." Reginald is a McKnight Dissertation Fellow pursuing a PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship in Florida State University's College of Business. His research interests include social capital, social networks, and entrepreneurship. These interests are partly informed by his background as a minister and fundraiser for a nonprofit focused on education and healthcare. His experience in the nonprofit sector gave Reginald a vision for how well-developed and carefully-managed strategy could have transformative effects on how well organizations serve people in need; he also saw hard work and good intentions wasted in failed ventures. It is estimated that as many as 90% of new organizations fail before launch; Reginald hopes his research can help organizations beat this odds and experience more successful beginnings.
