Terence Fisher

Say it in 6: "To push beyond what is known." Terence chose to pursue his PhD in the Department of Physics at Florida State because of his desire to be on the leading edge of human knowledge. The McKnight Doctoral Fellowship has allowed Terence to concentrate more on his studies as he moves toward his larger research goals. For Terence, the McKnight program has helped smooth out difficulties that often arise during the process of navigating graduate school. Moreover, it has exposed him to experts and leaders from a variety of backgrounds, and has opened other doors of opportunity also. Terence says that the McKnight program has provided him with the foundation to use his work in physics as a means of impacting the world in a truly meaningful way.
