Zachary Jones

"Say it in 6: "Moving science forward while giving back." Zachary is pursuing a PhD in Biomedical Sciences at Florida State, for which he has received a Graduate Research Fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Zachary has long been captivated by the human brain and hopes to continue unraveling its secrets through a career in science. For him, the NSF GRFP has been a blessing in providing Zachary with resources and flexibility with which to conduct his research. He hopes that the neurophysiological questions he asks will help patients with schizophrenia and other debilitating psychiatric and neurological disorders. In addition, Zachary anticipates a career in which he is engaged in science discourse both inside and outside the lab. Outreach efforts through his private organization SciWorld are already inspiring future scientists. "
